However, because there is so much information out there, it can be overwhelming to get started, to say the least.

If you are serious about taking all of the necessary steps to learning internet attraction marketing from beginning to end, though, there is still time to explode your business in 2009. I am talking about actual skill sets, not some rah rah hotel meeting stuff.

But you must start now. So here we go.

The first thing you will need to learn is how to build a Squidoo lens. The importance of knowing how to do this effectively cannot be overstated. Squidoo is one of the most popular content sharing networks on the internet. The fact that Google absolutely loves it is a big reason for why you need to get going there.

The next thing you will need to learn is article marketing. This includes how to choose the topics for your articles, how to conduct keyword research, how to use anchor text, how to write a title, how to construct an article, and how to construct your author's resource box. (EzineArticles is a big part of how I go about doing this. They have a lot of resources available for writers that I know you will find helpful as well.)

After that, you will need to learn how to use social bookmarking sites like Digg to increase the visibility of your articles. Also involved is building a network of people within the bookmarking communities who will help you promote your original contributions with the click of a button.

Next, you will need to familiarize yourself with the major social networking sites, like Facebook and Twitter. That includes knowing what to say and how to say it so you don't come across as an annoying or aggressive marketer. By using sites like these, you will be able to leverage a movement or news story in order to achieve maximum results for your efforts.

Then you will need to learn how to set up a blog and how to optimize it so that it can be found easily on the search engines. Whether you set it up on SquareSpace, WordPress, or even Blogger, you will need to know what to include so that you are not wasting your time.

Finally, you will need to learn how to create video marketing pieces to upload to the major video sharing sites like YouTube, MetaCafe, and Veoh. Vidoe marketing is quickly becoming the premier marketing medium on the internet, and you do not want to be left in the dust on this one.

Once you learn how to do all of these things effectively, it will be time to take your marketing to the next level. Look out for my next article where I tell you how to do just that.

If you would like more information on how to grow your business with the internet, please feel free to contact me through the resources listed below. I would be glad to share what has worked for me and how I avoided the overwhelm that most people face in getting started with internet attraction marketing.

Do you know network marketers blow thousands of dollars every day on unresponsive MLM lead generation services? If you're running a business on the Internet, it only makes sense to take advantage of the vast worldwide reach of the web. Marketing on the web has many benefits - you get to target a worldwide audience, you can market automatically 24 hours and 7 days a week and you can measure your marketing results accurately through sophisticated tools.

One of the keys of Internet marketing for an online business is to drive traffic to your website. To make money online, you need traffic; you need visitors. Period. Without traffic, one can have the most beautiful site in the world but not make any money. It used to be that you could 'build it and they will come'. That is not the case anymore with increased competition for attention online.

Here 3 marketing secrets that will get your business massive exposure online:

1. Banner Ads

Banner ads were once said to be ineffective after people became 'banner blind' because they no longer noticed banners. That is not true if you create an attention-grabbing banner. The aim is to create a banner that grabs attention in the first few milliseconds of your visitors coming across it. Odd, or even shocking banners work best. Sites like AdBrite, individual blogs and Google AdWords' content network allow you to place banners all over the web to advertise your business.

2. Pay Per Click Ads

Pay per click ads are the short classified ad-style ads you see on the right hand side and sometimes at the top of search engine results pages. They are called pay per click because you only pay for clicks that your ads accrue. This is a revolution in online advertising as you don't pay for impressions, only when you receive visitors! Plus, you are also able to target your ads to interested people only by using targeted keywords. Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft AdCenter are three of the best PPC engines.

3. Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization has potentially even greater results than PPC ads. This is because most people notice the natural, organic results and ignore the PPC ads. This means you will get considerably more traffic by ranking highly on the pages than from an ad. However, this is more time intensive and it is recommended that you test your keywords using PPC before optimizing your websites to achieve a high ranking.

I know, this may probably sound like rocket science to you. Don't worry, this is just an introduction to internet marketing for the online business. If you'd like more information, check out my resource box below.

Fabian Tan is a well-known Internet Marketing expert and the author of the popular 59-page Report:

"Murder Your Job: How To Build Cash Sucking Autopilot Businesses In 30 Days Or Less!"

Head over to http://www.MurderYourJob.com to get your FREE copy now!

Internet Marketing Experts Are Hard to Find

Today everyone seems to claim they are internet marketing experts. While some of them maybe in fact experts, most of them aren't. How do you go by and define the internet marketing expert? This article is going to reveal some of the criteria that a true expert should have.

Before I get into the specific characteristics for the internet marketing experts to have in place, I would like to remind to you that just because I am saying that not everyone is an expert you should listen to me. I am not an expert as well, and do not claim to be one, but I simply do not want to see more people fall into the same trap and spend their hard earned money on scams.

1.Leadership. Genuine internet marketing experts should possess leadership qualities. Those are persistence, perseverance, networking, focus, determination and ability to listen. So far, I haven't met an expert who wasn't a good listener or who was self centered. The real expert always puts the attention on to the other person.

2.Skills. This is a no brainer. Every internet marketing expert should have a specific skill he mastered better than anyone else. It might sound strange, because you would expect an expert to know everything, but in internet marketing you do not have to know everything. It is enough to master one specific skill in order to succeed and make a great living.

3.Back it all up by action. If you really want to find out whether someone is an expert it is better to see him in action. Maybe visit a webinar where he/she speaks or even ask him to show you how he does it. There has to be proof of what he is doing works and it has to be easily accessible.

There you go, you have three vital criteria that any internet marketing expert should possess in one way or another. But this is not the genuine purpose of this article. What I wanted you to understand is that YOU can become an expert if you want to. All it takes is written above. Anyone can become a leader as well as anyone can master a specific skill better than others.

What makes an internet marketing expert is the same human features you can learn by yourself from other experts. Just by learning from an expert you are one already. All it takes is the will and determination to become one, the rest is easy when you have those two in place.

Igor IgorHelpsYouSucceed Kheifets
skype: igor.kheifets
For More Information Visit My Blog
http://www.IgorHelpsYouSucceed.com

Make Money With Blogs, the Easy Way

While there are numerous ways to make money online, blogging is a simple way to start because there are no start up costs. There are plenty of places online that will allow you to have a free blog. Once you have a blog design and choose a topic all you need to do is start writing!

How do you know what topic to choose? There are numerous successful blogs, but there are also a lot of blogs that aren't successful. The good news is you can choose any topic you like. The topic doesn't matter as long as it's something that you can easily write passionate about. If it's a topic you enjoy, chances are there are others out there that enjoy the same thing, so choose a topic you enjoy and create your first post.

You can immediately put ads on your blog, there are different sites that offer the pay per click type of ads. Any time one of your readers click on an ad, you will get paid a minimal amount. As your blog readership grows, the more money you'll make. It does take some time to grow a blog, but using advertising on your blog can be a great source of passive income in the long run.

Another easy way to make money with a blog is by using affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is a little different than just placing ads. With affiliate marketing, you become an affiliate with a company and you receive a percentage of the money obtained when a customer uses your link to make a purchase.

With both advertising and affiliate marketing, you can potentially earn a very lucrative passive income. A passive income, is money that you are still earning even when you aren't working. Creating a passive income is one reason blogging appeals to a lot of people. This also means by posting a short blog post or two a day, you can easily make money online.

Dustin Heath recommends that you visit http://www.pilot2profits.com to learn how you can start your own home-based business earning multiple streams of income with a Plug-In Profit Site - Complete Money Making Site Setup FREE!

Make Money Online Blogging - Find Your Niche and Create a Lucrative Passive Income

A great way to make money online today is by blogging. Most people started blogging as a way to keep family members up to date with current happenings. Soon people began to blog about more than just their personal lives. Informational blogs began to pop up. As people began to realize the information they had to share with others was making a difference, it was too late and blogging for money was born.

People make money online with blogging by placing ads on their blogs that readers click on. This means that blogs need a lot of traffic. The internet is a huge place and the demand and supply for information is vast. Most of the information people are seeking has already been placed on the web and the traffic is already hitting specific sites. In order to get some of that traffic new bloggers need to focus on niche blogs.

A niche blog is a blog about something that hasn't been tapped yet on the web. It may be a variation of things already offered or may be something completely new. The trick is to find a topic that you are passionate about, that is in demand and that does not have a large supply yet. It's hard to make money online blogging about something that does not interest you.

Finding your specific niche can take some time. It takes time to earn income online. Ideally, this task is part of the employee's job description.

The blog content has to be good, relevant, must contain the right keywords and provide benefits your company has to offer a potential customer, but it doesn't have to be long or cumbersome. It can be around 300 words and still be a great blog post. Allot about a half hour for the task for each blog post, although even less time may be needed for someone who knows your business well and is a great conversationalist.

If you prefer to write the blog posts yourself, make sure you schedule blog writing on your calendar for the days of the week you will be able to write a post. That way you will see it as part of your own job description. You will be more motivated to complete a blog post each day if you can cross the word "blog post" off your "to do" list each day. By the end of the month, you will be amazed at how many posts you will have written and will start seeing the fruits of your labor in the actual organic search results. Once again, this provides consistency in your business blogging efforts. And the more consistent you are, the more traffic and readers you will attract.

Use your blog as a tool. Make sure your blog is linked to social media sites including places like LinkedIn, Squidoo, Facebook, and Twitter. When you tell your community about the content of your blog every time you write each new post, your blog gets more exposure and you get more traffic. If the people in your communities like your blog posts, they will forward the posts on to their friends and their friends will send it on and so on. If you are consistent with your blogging efforts and can take a few minutes to add social networking to your blogging efforts, your blog will become successful much more quickly than you ever possible without it.

And now I would like to invite you to claim your free instant access to my report on How to Drive More Qualified Traffic to Your Blog so you can learn more valuable tips for getting better blog traffic. Blogs provide fresh content to meet the demands of information thirsty Internet searchers. Most blogs are updated at least one time per week (ideally) and even as often as every day. A good blog should be updated at least every three days to keep the search engines coming back. The blog that you write should have content relating to what your business has to offer and how it can benefit your target audience.

The second reason why blogging is important to your business is the fact that a good blog with updated, quality information and the right keywords, will drive a good deal of free (aka organic) traffic to your web site. When you provide a link to your main web site, a blog can drive traffic to it as well giving you double exposure.

Without traffic, neither your blog nor your web site would have much exposure on the Internet. Without free traffic, your business will be spending quite a bit of money on advertising to wind up at the top of the search engine pages. In fact, your blog may be the best in the world, but if it is on the last page of Google, no one will know your blog exists. You are either going to pay for getting that traffic or build your blog the right way from the start to get high rankings in the free organic search engines.

The third reason is that a blog can be started for free or very low cost. Businesses are cutting expenses these days due to the fluctuations in the economy. Advertising costs are being slashed. There isn't a better way to advertise on the Internet then by building a blog that has great content and keywords and as a result, drives free traffic to it. A blog can become your company's best source of free advertising.

Finally, keep your blog updated regularly. Link it to your web site. Submit your URL to directories and other free services available on the "Net for even more free exposure. Make blogging a priority for your business and you'll reap the rewards.

There are many more reasons why blogging is important for your business but these three reasons alone should give a company or small business reason to get started with building a blog for free right away. There is no excuse not to get started now.

And now I would like to invite you to claim your free instant access to my report on Better Business Blogging so you can learn more valuable tips for extending your brand online with a blog. No one will see it unless you put up some road signs. Traffic is the life blood you need to bring your blog to the forefront of your prospects' attention. So what is the top secret way to get more traffic to your business blog?

The secret is: keyword research. Doing the right keyword research can land you a sweet spot on the first page of Google. That's great, but what if you don't even know what a keyword is? Here is a simple explanation. Think of it this way. A key unlocks a door. It allows people to get in to see what's on the other side of the door. This is the same way a key word works. You have the key to unlocking potential traffic to your website by using the right words.

Here is an example. Suppose your company is selling dog supplies. The basic key word that describes what your company sells would be "dog". If you were to type in the search term "dog" on Google, you would see that it is an extremely popular search term. That is good. It means lots of people are interested in the term "dog".

Take a look again. Look at the number of ads that are being shown for "dog". There are page after page of ads, so even though the word "dog" brings great results, where do you think your new blog will wind up in the search rankings with all of that competition? Unless you pay for your ranking through Google pay per click then most likely you will never see it on page one of Google, at least not for years to come. You will not get any traffic to your business blog in the beginning at all using the search term "dog".

If that's the case, is there no hope? Not at all. Start to think about all of the specific dog supplies your company sells. Does your company sell organic dog food, or organic dog biscuits? Do you sell diamond studded dog leashes or Irish Setter training books? Can you see where you can go with keywords now? You will get much more traffic to your business blog if you use what are called "long tail keywords".

Instead of just using the term "dog", you have now added more specific key words like "Irish Setter training books" and "diamond studded dog leashes". When you go back into Google and type in these specific search terms, look at the number of search results up in the corner. With less competition, you will have a greater chance of getting your blog on the first pages of Google than when using the broader key word, "dog".

There are both free and paid tools available on the Internet to help you determine which keywords would be best for you to use. One of the best free tools is http://www.freekeywords.wordtracker.com It's easy to use and will provide you with a huge list of potential keywords you can use for driving traffic to your business blog.

And now I would like to invite you to claim your free instant access to my report on How to Drive More Qualified Traffic to Your Blog so you can learn more valuable tips for getting better blog traffic. It started when Zuckerberg worked with Sean Parker the former co-founder of Napster. Parker introduced Peter Theil to Zucherberg who then become the Facebook's first investor. The investment amounted to $500,000.

The knowledge that Facbook opened its door for investors spread like a light gas in town, attracting other social networks to buy Facebook company. Friendster was the first to make an attempt to buy Facebook in mid 2004, offering Zuckerberg an amount of $10 million in exchange of company ownership. Like a precious antique possession in an auction hall, the bid for Facebook ownership rose up when Zuckerberg turned down the offer of Friendster.

Following the attempt of Friendster to acquire Facebook, in September 2005 Accel Partners provided an additional fund to the latter amounting to $12.7 million at $100 million valuation. A month after, Facebook add up a glimmering photo sharing feature which hightened its popularity. This another episode of magnanimous success in putting the network flashy attraction to users paved the way to receiving an additional funding from its previous investors Peter Thiel and Accel Partners. Meritech Capital and Greylock Partners joined the Facebook investors and put up a fund of $25 million. This deal was appraised to worth $525 million pre-money.

In March of 2006, Viacom tried to purchase ownership of Facebook at $750 million but its fate ended up same way as with the Friendster's attempt.

When Facebook opened its membership to anyone with email address, the following summer of 2006, finally Yahoo tried to acquire ownership of Facebook to an amount of $1 billion. Although this offer was turned down, previously it was reported that Zuckerberg made a verbal agreement with Yahoo in selling out the ownership of Facebook. This verbal agreement became null and void when Yahoo eventually lowered down it offer from $i billion to $800 million due to the sudden drift of their stock price. At such face, Yahoo couldn't resist acquiring the Facebook which drove it to made another offer as their stock price come to an equilibrium. This time, Yahoo offered Zuckerberg $1 billion which was instantly turned down due to a bad deal reputation Yahoo had previously committed. Zuckerberg instantaneously earned a very notorious label being "the kid who turned down a billion". From then on Facebook remained a privately owned network by the Facebook company.

Discover how you can get free, targeted traffic to your website using short, easy to write articles like this. If your web host is not responsible and dependable, your visitors may not return to your website.

Choosing a good website host does not always prove to be an easy task. It's important that you know what to look for in a web host before making your final selection. Most people who have had any exposure to the world of online business have a fair idea of what to look for, but if you're a "newbie," you may not know where to begin.

Well, first you can start by doing some online research. You can check out some of the many sites on the internet that rank host sites for you. Just search "host site rankings" and you'll come up with a list of many such services, such as hostreviews.com or bestwebhosting.com, which will let you comparison shop.

There are many articles written by experts out there who can guide you when selecting a host, but you can also find reviews of hosting services that have been written by users of those services. These are a great guide!

There are two major characteristics of the web host which you should look for. One is speed of the server and the other is how much downtime they experience.

You should check the statistics regarding these areas. If these data are not easily available then check with the web host's support center.

You will want your website to be up and running and accessible to visitors at all times, so it is vital to choose a host with a knowledgeable support team, good customer care, and a minimum of "down time."

Remember, it is important to gather as much information as you can before selecting your web host.

If you'd like more information about web host selection as well as website business creation, I just completed a new ebook entitled Learn How to Easily Create Your Own Web Site and Actually Understand the Full Process.

Download it free here: http://www.newwebsiteteacher.com

Sharon Zolna and Larry Zolna are the authors of numerous articles as well as instructors of website creation and online business and other related fields.

Hosting Private Server - Are Shared Web Hosts a Liability?

So what are some of the advantages of subscribing to your own hosting private server, as opposed to signing up for one of those shared server hosting options?

1. If you are going to be doing a lot of heavy-duty custom development that involves installing and configuring your own custom application servers, deploying and maintaining your own infrastructure services, or have a highly specific need to develop your own custom solutions, then it makes sense to rely on a dedicated server option. You will have full control over the entire system, the use of its resources, what you can install on it, and how you configure and use it.
2. If you are concerned about application or website redundancy, disaster recovery, or high availability, then maintaining a hosting private server at a 3rd party location would be an excellent solution for your business continuity needs.
3. If you are planning on offering a service that effectively "subleases" space under your account, then you would be better off with a dedicating hosting private server, since you would potentially be signing up hundreds, thousands, or even millions of users. A shared server may not be able to meet your capacity demands.
4. If you are going to be requiring a lot of bandwidth and a lot of traffic then a dedicated server solution would make the most sense. If you are sharing bandwidth and operating system capacity with countless other applications on the same server, then you could adversely affect them, or vice versa.
5. If you require a significant amount of disk space, then it would be more cost effective to opt for a hosting private server.

The bottom line is that when you use a shared hosting server, then you are sharing the bandwidth, the disk space, the memory, and the applications that potentially hundreds or thousands of other customers may be using.

Enjoy world-class excellence in web hosting like never before.

Blue Host - Why Bloggers Switch to BlueHost and WordPress

Right now, we run over ten WordPress blogs on our one BlueHost account. All of our blogs have their own domain names. We also have an unlimited number of email addresses ending with our domain name. And, we are in full control of the look and feel of our blogs.

But, it wasn't always like that.

In the beginning... we were broke. We wanted to blog, but we didn't want to pay for anything. So we signed up for a free blogger account. Ten months later, we decided to get more serious and we switched to a self-hosted WordPress blog powered by BlueHost.

Here are the 3 big problems we had with free blogs:

1. You have that navigation bar at the top that often comes with free blogs. For example, Blogger and Xanga both do this. It helps users to find other Blogger or Xanga blogs, but does it really present the professional look that you're going for?

2. Your free blog only has a few basic features. For example, WordPress offers a free platform, but you can't install any of the plugins to add extra features like top-commentator plugins, polls, survey, etc.

LiveJournal offers a free platform, but their basic accounts only have a few of their features turned on.

If you want more services, you can get a plus account, but then you agree to let LiveJournal run their ads on your blog. If you want to turn their ads off, or buy your own domain name to use with your blog, then you need to have a paid account ($3 per month).

3. You're not allowed to make money with your free blog. Lots of people blog because it's fun. But, we also try to see if we can make a little money on the side. After all, there are lots of ways to make money through blogging: google ads, affiliate links, sponsored posts.

The only problem is that a lot of the free blogging platforms specifically say that you can't run those things. For example, the free WordPress.com platform doesn't allow you to run ads on your site. Same with Xanga.

The big exception to this is Blogger. Blogger is owned by Google and they make it easy to run Google Ads on your blog. But, even then, companies like PayPerPost that pay your to write sponsored posts will often reject your blog if you are running a free account at typepad, xanga, blogspot, livejournal, wordpress.com, or vox.

We switched to BlueHost for the following 3 reasons:

1. BlueHost offered a free domain name for life when you signed up for their web hosting package ($6.95/month).

2. BlueHost offered free domain privacy registration.

3. You can have an unlimited number of domains hosted on your BlueHost account. This was important to us because that way we could experiment with a lot of different blogs and each blog would have a different domain name.

4. Finally, you can create install WordPress on your blog with the click of a button. If you run a blog on WordPress.com, you can't do anything. But if you install the free WordPress software from WordPress.org on your blog, you can run ads, make money from your blogs, and install all of the features (plugins) that you want. BlueHost let us install as many WordPress blogs as we want on our BlueHost account with the click of a button.

Bottom Line: If you want to experiment with blogging, then get a free blogging account. If you want to experiment with making money through blogging, then get a free Blogger account from Google. But, once you decide that you want to step up your money making experiment, then you should consider getting a Web Hosting account somewhere and running Wordpress from it.

If you're ready to register domain names for your blog or website, we're here to help at http://domainnames.webdiggin.com where you'll find this information and more detailed information about why we switched to BlueHost and WordPress.

Blog Post Gone Viral!

While posting to one of my niche blogs I decided to get more for my effort. Researching and writing the post took a little time so why not make it count? Here's how one blog post can help your online business and site promotion.

Blog Post To Article

Nothing new here. Bloggers have been doing this for years. Once you have the post written it's a breeze to submit it to article directories so other site owners can use the content. Now your blog post just went viral!

Blog Post To E-Book

Another way to increase the value of your work is take the content and write an e-book. Yes, even more viral. It was quick and easy since the content had already been written.

Random Tips

Using a simple HTML rotator I was able to set-up random tips taken from the article to display on my site. It took about an hour to copy and paste each tip into it's own section.

Cross Promotion

This worked once for me but probably won't work twice. I posted to a different blog about the steps I took with the original blog post, much like I'm doing in this article.

Other Ideas I Could Have Used

I could, and still may, build a blog widget so the random tips can be added to other blogs as free content - and viral site promotion of course.

It would have been a very simple task to require subscription to a newsletter in order to download the ebook.

I could have expanded my promotions even further by writing and submitting press releases.

Another idea could have been to break the content into parts for a free e-course using an autoresponder to build another list.

I don't want to forget about video! I could have read the post on video or even recorded it for an audio download.

I'm sure a cool interview could have been worked out using the content.

I could have taken the time to include affiliate or product advertisements such as a few banners in the ebook.

I'm sure there are other ideas. Site promotion is limited only by your imagination.

Brian Hawkins - Publisher of the Extreme Ezine, Your internet marketing newsletter. Visitors and potential clients are more interested reading factual and informative pages.

According to various studies, online users spend only a few seconds viewing a page. Depending on the appearance and organization of your articles, people will stay longer or leave. Paragraph writing skills are indispensable during SEO.

How Should You Write Your Paragraphs?

Apply all the basic rules of paragraph making. Each paragraph should consist of a general thought which will be your main sentence. All supporting sentences adhere to the main idea which maintains the paragraph's context and integrity. The main sentence may appear at the start, middle or end but it should clearly state what you are talking about in that particular area.

For SEO or search engine optimization purposes, use 3 to 5 main keywords or a key phrase which will be used concurrently throughout your entire article. Use terms that will most likely be used by average users when filling in search engine boxes. There should also be secondary keywords or synonymous terms to increase the relevance of your web page.

Fat paragraphs have shown to relatively reduce overall relevance and ranking because of overwhelming number of words and statements. Search engines have automatic analyzers which calculate the relevance of your article according to how well it thinks users will best understand. Fat paragraphs quickly fall behind in ranking because analyzers usually prefer short, concise and informative ones.

It is advised that you keep paragraphs anywhere between 4 to 6 sentences. Focus on a thought or supporting thought per paragraph. Avoid trying to put too many ideas in one statement. Instead, cut long sentences into two shorter ones. As for the keywords, density should remain anywhere from 3% to 5%. Rankings start to fall when keyword density reaches 8% or higher.

Appealing Your Readers

Keep the content of all your paragraphs brief, factual and informative. When visitors view your page for the first few seconds, they will check if paragraphs seem easy to read and interesting.

Fat paragraphs and long sentences instantly result to low web site traffic and sales because not a lot of people truly have the time or patience. Do not be afraid of using quotations and placing sources like "according to..." as long as they are relevant to the topic. Quotations are actually appealing for readers.

Review all your work every now and then. As you reread some of your paragraphs, you will be able to fix long and boring statements. Constantly update and improve your writing methods and you'll surely experience the benefit of boosted web site traffic and repeat visitors and clients.

http://seo.xon.us - SEO.xon

Vanessa A. In my particular crash-course process of learning how to blog, I also learned about the things I shouldn't do. So, for those of you that want to blog in support of your sites, here are some things you should avoid doing, either accidentally or on purpose. Or, you can do them anyway, annoy the blogosphere, and get blacklisted.

Splogging

Spam Blogging, also known as splogging, is using your blog solely to generate links pointing back to your site and/or optimize content for ads. To get content, a splogger either machine-generates keyword-rich gibberish or steals content from another blog feed, article, or web site. Then they load it up with links and post it.

Don't do this, really. If you're going to blog and put links back to your site, be original. Answer e-mails from your visitors. Write about your thoughts. Respond to comments. Spin off threads related to the content of your web site or your chosen topic. But don't post a massive quantity of quick-and-dirty garbage text just so you can hang an ad off some optimized content. It will get you blacklisted, and in the case of plagiarism, possibly sued.

Spinging

Spam Pinging, or spinging, is when someone unnecessarily pings to force spidering by a search engine. This is usually machine generated to the tune of hundreds in order to trick a service into believing a blog is fresh all the time. This is extremely abusive, and the services that do ping are taking precautions against it now to insure pinging automation doesn't occur.

To avoid this one, only ping once when your content has changed. It's that simple.

Spam Commenting

Blogs come with comment links underneath their articles for the placement of comments by anyone who visits. Spam Commenting is when someone leaves a comment for the sole purpose of tacking a link onto a blogging page to benefit from its rank. This is rude to say the least, and another thing upon which services are cracking down. You can't even get away with this on the hosted blogs, because their web masters have control over whose comment gets left intact.

If you read a blog and want to comment, show some class and don't spam. If you have a real comment, post it. If you don't, don't just leave a link.

Yes, this is the Net. If something has been invented to legitimately make use of the Net, it's all but certain that someone's found a way to abuse it. This doesn't mean you have to be one of them. And with the feedback I received from WomenXtra, requesting for some recommended sites on affiliate programs and banners, I thought I should discuss the two further on separate articles.

The first discussion would be on affiliate programs. I have mentioned before that this kind of programs work by “recommendation”:

1. You send a visitor/buyer from your site to an affiliated site.
2. Then your affiliated site will pay you.
3. And you earn money through commission basis.

All affiliate programs work the same, only that there are some that really pays well. However, you should also take extra precaution because there are also a lot of frauds on these programs.

Even though you do minimal effort on this kind of program, you could lose everything--- money, time, and traffic----- if you have been victimized by a fraud program. To avoid such loss, you should be properly informed about affiliate programs.

Here are the extra information you should know:

1. There are many affiliate programs out there---- some are free and some ask you to pay for membership--- but, just to stay out of risk, choose your affiliate from the roster of free-from-fees affiliates.

2. Join more than one affiliate program. This will enable you to compare one program from the other, and will very much track those who are frauds.

3. Analyze the affiliate’s system of payment:
- What is the mode of payment?
- When will the payment be issued?
- What is their minimum (traffic/visitor) requirement before they issue the payment?

4. Know the tracking system of the program and how long will your referrals stay on the program.

5. Be able to look for a program that offers a detailed statistics, which should be available for your viewing.

6. Know the people behind the “billing system”. If it is run by some billing company the better. Often times, if the billing system is handled by a third party, there is no fraud in the system compared to only two people who handle the system.

7. Find out more about the retailer and the products/services they are offering. It is better if you could also look for ways on how credible they really are by looking through their content, awards gained, other sites that link to them, testimonies and news about them, etc.

8. Know the percentage of your commission. Be able to compute all figures first before you sign up for them.

9. Rate your affiliate site from its contents to its navigation. Be able to see if the site is worthy for a visit and if it easy to use.

10. Know the hits per ratio of the program and if they also pay you the hits besides the commission.

http://onlinepr.gbwatch.com gives updates on the ins and outs of public relations and marketing within the Internet. Everybody and their grandmother has one and each one promises more riches than the one before it. With all the hype that's floating around, it's impossible to know just what's real and what's just that, hype. So, how DO you find a good affiliate program? What should you look for? Hopefully, after reading these few tips, you'll be on your way to finding an affiliate program that is just right for you.

The first thing you want to do is find an affiliate program that fits into your budget. Some are free to join but then there are those that require you to actually join the company as a paid member before you can promote their product or service. If funds are tight, you may want to go with a program that is free to join and then after that you simply promote your affiliate link to sell their product or service. This way, if you don't make any money, you're not out any money, unless of course you've spent money on advertising. But that's a different subject altogether.

The next thing you want to look for in an affiliate program is what it actually pays for each sale or sign up. You don't want to promote programs that pay very little. The reason is because your efforts aren't going to justify the low pay. So you want to look for something that comes with a hefty price tag. The downside to this is that you won't make as many sales selling a big ticket item because it won't appeal to as many people. You might want to consider a mid ticket item that will appeal to more people.

When looking for an affiliate program most people, unfortunately, look for the hottest new thing on the Internet. This has its pluses and minuses. On the plus side, you will probably make more sales since it is a newer item. On the minus side, you will probably have more competition because it is new and also there is the possibility that the program will go belly up sooner than with a program that has been established. many new programs fail in their first year or sooner. So promoting a new affiliate program is always a risk.

Finally, there is the ethical side of finding an affiliate program. Many, if you just read their sales page, are blatant pyramid schemes. Most of these programs will eventually collapse or be shut down. You have to go with your conscience on this one. You may make a lot of money on these programs at the start, but you'll be doing it at the expense of others coming in later on just before the wheels come flying off and many people end up losing their money. You really want to try to find a program that has a viable product or service that you can believe in. The program itself will have a better chance of surviving.

By following the above tips, you have a decent chance of finding an affiliate program that is just right for you.

Michael Russell

Your Independent guide to Affiliate Programs

Best ECommerce Sites

Discover the Best Ecommerce Site for Your Needs

When you are planning your online venture you should ask yourself what customers would want in an ecommerce site. The answer to that question is a lot of things. There are many things that can make your site popular with customers. A few are:

Flexible Payment Options - These will include credit card payments, debit card payments, online payments, e-check payments, and so on. The best ecommerce site will include as many payment options as possible. The more options you have the more likely a customer will come back to your site.

Uploading Time - If you go to a well known ecommerce site you will more then likely see that they have a fast uploading time. To make it convenient for the customers you should make your uploading time as fast as possible. If it takes a long time for a page to load, more than likely the customer will move on to the next site.

Fast order processing - the best ecommerce site will have a maximum of two to three clicks from the time the customer chose an item and the payment is processed. The more clicks that are required, the less likely is that the customer will come back for more.

Fast Payment Processing - processing your payment should be quick. A customer shouldn't have to wait forever to see if his or hers payment has been accepted.

Frames vs. non-frames - have your website functional in both the options. Many of the people who use slower version computers will remove the frame options from their browsing. If your main features are based on frames, then the customer who has disabled this feature will be lost on your site, think it is a bad site, and move on.

These are just some ways that you can make sure customers are getting the most out of your site. Your site can be number one when you take all these things into consideration. Make sure you leave your customers satisfied and coming back for more.

Learn everything you need to know about ecommerce and e-commerce hosting at http://www.ecommercefacts.info/

Develop Your Customer Base

How To Build And Manage Your Ezine - Strategies To Develop Your Customer Base

Well, you have got your Ezine all set to go. The content is great, the look is great, and you're all pumped up to get everyone on the Internet to see it. That's when it hits you.

How do I do that?

Unfortunately, the old saying "Build it and they will come" does not apply to the Internet. The sad truth is, just building an Ezine, web site, or anything for that matter does not guarantee that anybody is going to see it. In order for that to happen, you need to go out and get the people to come. That leads us to the big question.

How do I do that?

Ah yes, we already asked that question, didn't we. Well, fortunately, there are a number of ways to develop your customer base to your Ezine. We will touch on just a few of them here so you can get an idea. There are many more than these.

One way to get the word out about your Ezine to a mass of people at once is to register with a safelist submitter service. This is a service that will allow you to submit an ad to hundreds, even thousands of safelists all at once. This has the potential to reach hundreds of thousands of people in one shot. The services are relatively inexpensive and many come with other benefits besides. Do some shopping around to see the best deals that you can get.

Another way to make your Ezine known to the Internet is through message boards and forums. This takes a little bit more manual work but is more of a personal approach. By going to these forums and letting people know that your Ezine exists, maybe even offering some incentives for them to sign up, you'll probably get a faster sign up rate than with most other methods. You can easily find a number of forums to visit through search engines.

Of course you can always go the route of submitting your Ezine to an Ezine submission service. This is a service that specializes in making the Internet know that your Ezine exists. Make sure you follow their rules when doing this because they don't allow any ad submissions. This is purely a news release to let them know your Ezine exists. The problem with these services is that there are so many Ezines submitted each day, it is easy for yours to get lost in the soup.

Whatever strategy you use for letting people know about your Ezine, make sure that you offer them some kind of freebie for, say, the first 100 sign ups. Maybe give away some software or an ebook you have written. Sometimes you have to give a little to get a lot. If people believe that they are getting something of value, they will be more likely to want to sign up with your Ezine. From there, as long as you keep providing them with good content, they will continue as subscribers and potential customers.

Learn more…

HBNezine.. This address is much like a telephone number - a unique number that lets other computers connect to a specific server.

IP addresses are 4 bytes, or 32 bits. Each byte is called an "octet" and can be given a value between 0 and 255 so an IP address takes the form of 123.45.67.89.

Theoretically, 32 bit IP addresses support more than 4 billion unique addresses but in reality the number is much less. Certain ranges are reserved for particular uses so the number of available IP addresses is limited.

Web hosts get around this limitation with shared hosting and virtual servers. To avoid having to use a single server for each web site, shared hosting lets a single server host many web sites. Each site has the same IP address (the one assigned to the server itself) but a unique domain name (eg. mydomain.com).

The current IP address numbering system is version 4 (IPv4) and there is a new system called version 6 (IPv6). This new version will allow for 128 bit addresses which will greatly expand the number of available addresses. Because the internet is currently built around the IPv4 standard, it will take a number of years to upgrade the infrastructure to support this new format.

Shared hosting helps to solve the problem of a limited number of IP addresses for an ever-expanding number of website, but we also need to consider that every computer connected to the internet is also assigned an IP address.

To avoid having to assign a unique IP address to every computer that connects to the internet, most internet providers use system called dynamic IP. They are given a range of available addresses and when you connect, you are assigned one of these numbers. When you disconnect, that number goes back into the "pool" and someone else will get it when they connect.

This dynamic IP system is one of the reasons it's not usually feasible to host a website on your home computer. Because your address can change any time, it is difficult to keep your domain and your IP address properly associated.

John Lenaghan writes about the best web hosting solution for businesses, and other website hosting topics on the Hosting Report website. It’s simple, it’s effective and it’s free.

But article submission these days is prone to some costly mistakes, that, when committed, would mean failure for your article marketing campaign. These mistakes are born from simple things that people take for granted, and they can, in fact, be easily remedied.

What are these mistakes? Here are the 6 most commonly committed ones:

1. Submitting articles which you have used as content for your website. This can be fatal. The search engines can consider your content as a duplicate, and such a page where they can be found may be de-indexed. Additionally, you’d want nothing but unique content for your own website, since content generates traffic and you will need to provide something that people are looking for which they cannot find anywhere else.

2. Submitting the same article to the same directory more than once. Most article directories frown on this practice. Though this tactic escapes non-automated systems of most article directories, the repercussions, when caught, could be disastrous. Your account may be banned by the article directories you have submitted to.

3. Submitting the same article to many directories at once. This is the practice of many people, but it’s wrong. The search engines will notice the sudden spike in your number of back links, and its spiders will categorize the same as dubious. Your page rank may not even benefit from the said back links, if ever such is the case. You need to submit your articles nice and slow. 5 article directories per 2 days will be a safe and convenient approach. Remember, most of your back links will not come from the article directories themselves. Rather, they will come from the webmasters who will pick up your article for online publication. Taking things slow will serve this end.

4. Trusting automated article distribution software programs. There are a lot of software programs promising a solution to the rather tedious requirement of having to submit your articles to many directories. Sadly, most of these programs do not serve their purpose well, the reason being is that article directories often change their systems to dissuade the usage of such programs. For the many article directories in the World Wide Web, article submission programs pose a lot of potentials for abuse which will be detrimental to their own businesses. Hence, there is no standard article distribution software that is built to last. Manual submission of your articles is still the best. If you feel that this is too laborious a task for you, you can always subscribe to manual submission services that are widely available in the market today. Or you can get a freelancer to do the task for you.

5. Submitting unmodified PLR articles. With the sheer amount of membership sites and offers of PLR packages these days, it’s tempting to submit them as they are. This will be a costly mistake. Article directories consider this a big no-no as it compromises the integrity of their own services and promotes the submission of duplicate articles which will just spam their inventories.

6. Submitting articles that are filled with affiliate links. Most article directories explicitly state that affiliate links should not be included anywhere within the article. The worst thing that can happen to their directories is that they’ll become one glorified classified ads site. Once an affiliate link is detected, the article will almost, always be rejected. If you have to include an affiliate link, make sure to host it in your own website, then include the URL of your website in your articles.

Mark Flavin is the owner of http://www.markflavin.com the famous Make Money Website

Increase traffic to your website now using Mark's Free Website Traffic Techniques

Tips and Tactics for Marketing on the Internet (Swc - General Business Series)

Tips & Tactics for Marketing on the Internet is the perfect guide for adding the Web to your arsenal.
